David Stout

David Stout was formerly a vice president of GlaxoSmithKline. In 2007 he was one of the three contenders for the top position of CEO. However Stout, along with Chris Veihbacher, lost out to Andrew Witty.

As a result of this Stout was offered a compensation packaged estimated to be worth $2 million, along with a seat on the GSK board. He rejected this and selected to leave the company.
