Operational Excellence - GSK
In the latter part of 2006 GSK announced that it would be undertaking a programmed named Operational Excellence. The intention of this programme was to streamline GSK, cut staff numbers, while boosting investment in key areas, such as research.Estimates believe that approximately 10,000 redundancies occured as a result of this, though no number was released by the company.
