Ethical Sourcing

Ethical Sourcing has become a very interesting business area. It concerns the original sourcing of many products produced in the developing world, but sold developed countries, for example Sugar or sports trainers.

Previously companies were free to exploit cheaper labour in developing countries, mistreating workers and paying low wages.

With the advent of ethical sourcing schemes such as Fair Trade and Fair Deal , these practices have been greatly reduced, and even irradicated in certain areas.

The main reason for the power of these ethical programs are the willingness of consumers to pay extra for items identified as being created using these standards.
