Rabbit Flu

Rabbit flu is another member of the influenza family, despite its name it can infect animals other than rabbits, including dogs and cats.

It is believed to be caused by the bacteria pasteurella multocida.

The most recent human victim was farmer John Freeman, 29, of Aspall near Stowmarket in Suffolk, became infected after picking up a rabbit on his farm.
