London

London is the capital city of the United Kingdom.

Formerly called Londinium, it was first settled by the Romans as a result of its position on the Thames.

Today it is one of the largest and most prosperous cities in the world, acting as a major hub of commerce and culture.

The city itself spreads from Essex in the East towards the home counties in the West, covering a vast area.

South West London

Areas of South West London include Wandsworth, Battersea and Putney. These areas tend to be populated by young professionals, as such the areas have a very lively feeling to them, but can be very expensive.
