Bunmi Shagaya
Bunmi Shagaya was an 11-year-old girl from south London who died from drowning on a school trip to France in 2001.Bunmi Shagaya's body was found in a lake three days after vanishing during a visit to a theme park near Dieppe.
At the inquest into her death Southwark coroner John Sampson extended his condolences to her family, who were not in court for the verdict.
He said the condition of Bunmi's body "was consistent with having been immersed in water" for three days.
Mr Sampson, coroner for the Inner South District of Greater London, said French authorities had investigated the circumstances of her death and decided last December that no-one would be prosecuted.
Lambeth Council also investigated and made recommendations about school trips.
