Sunbury on Thames

Sunbury on Thames (Sunbury) is a suburb of Spelthorne just outside London. It occupies the northern bank of the river Thames and uses this location for a number of summer events.

The area has seen an increase in house prices recently as younger professionals have now begun considering it as commuter town.

The town has strong links into London, with the A316 running directly into Richmond, as well as the M3 giving good access to the rest of the country. For those without a car there is also a rail station with a frequent service into London.

Houses are mostly a mix of Victorian terraces and 1930s semis. The most prestigious part of the town is known as Lower Sunbury. These are the streets south of Sunbury cross near the river and include roads such as French Street, Manor Lane, The Avenue and Green Street.

Sunbury Cross is the area north of the M3 junction. This area is home to a number of large companies including BP, Johnson and Johnson, Chubb and Cadburys.
